This tangy and creamy dip takes no time to make and requires just a handful of ingredients. Its perfect for summer dining with crunchy raw vegetables and crusty bread, but its also pretty good slathered on a burger.
Whipped lemony feta dip (For 4)
- 200 grams (1 block) of feta cheese
- 100 to 150 grams (or 1/2 to 3/4 cup) of Greek yogurt, depending on how thick you want it (less yogurt for a thicker consistency)
- 1 large clove of garlic, crushed
- Juice and zest of 1/2 a large lemon
- 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Fresh herbs such as dill or mint, to garnish
- 1/2 teaspoon of sumac, to garnish
Method
- Put the cheese and yogurt in a bowl and whisk until the cheese is completely broken down and the dip is smooth and creamy. You can also do this in a food processor if you prefer.
- Add the garlic, olive oil and lemon zest and juice, and mix well to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with herbs and sumac, and little more olive oil. Serve with crunchy raw vegetables and crusty bread.
